summer book

I had trouble shooting this photo the first time i attempted. The models, setting, light and basically everything else just were not working together in harmony as i would like them to. So this time i had models that i thought worked together very well! I used Nate and Arturo, thanks guys! My book was A Passage To India and it was a really good novel. It was about two men that wanted to be friends but society just wouldn't allow it. Thats because one man was an indian and the other was an english man. Their customs were very different but that didn't matter to them, in the end they just had to act as if if neither of them valued each other. Which is very sad, because they just wanted to be friends. Im pretty happy with my photo, it's not the best but it's better than the one i shoot before. I don't like the wrinkled sheet on the floor but its just a little problem, also the clothes isn't the best i think Arturos shoes just look really bad. But we didn't have any other shoes for him to wear.I like my modern twist on this book. I fixed the photo on phtoshop, just changing the contrast i didn't want to do too much to it.

Test Shot!

For this project we had to take a test shot for our senior portfolios.We had to pick a theme, and mine was focused on highlighting the many faces of the women that have to deal with hard struggles in their daily lives. It's kind of like a feminine empowerment type of thing. To be completely honest i don't exactly know if I'm going to be able to follow through with this theme. It was fun taking them because i had such a great model(Ashley Reed) that expressed the exact emotion and feeling that i wanted. I'm great full that this was an assignment because it's getting me prepared early in the year for my senior ex.

Stop Motion

This was the first project in period 1 and we had to make a stop motion video. We had to get in two groups of about 13 people, we didn't have the choice to choose who would be in our groups so that caused some conflicts but also a wide range of diverse people. I was the one of the main models, and at first i thought it was going o be fairly easy, but little did know how many pictures we would have to take and how many times i had to things over. It got really stressful/frustrating at times because we were such a large group and it got hard working together day after day on the the same thing.We did have a lot of problems because people keep getting hurt and they were confused on what to do.I think this was a good project because now we know how who we can work with and who we probably shouldn't work with. It ended up being a pretty good video, thanks to everyone. Even though this project was tedious it was still a lot of fun and i 'am glad that i got a chance to be a part in a stop motion video.

Alter Ego 2009-2010

This was the first project of the year and i think that it went very well. It was a little time consuming because everyone in our class had to take two pictures each, and my class has a lot of students. I took the picture with the dress on first and that whole process was long, i had to do my hair, make-up and then get into that dress, the last step was putting on the tiara. Then i had Viviana M. take those pictures, i know it was difficult because i'm definetly not the best model. A couple days later when i was able to get into the studio i took my regular shot. I really didn't have to do much for that one because i took the pictures in my regular everyday clothes and i had Ashley Reed take those.I had to do a lot of PS on these photos to make them look like they were taken in one shot and i'm glad because i really learned a lot of new tricks.   This project, has been my favorite one so far.
